Matt 24-25 matches Rev 22:20

In Matthew 24-25 Jesus commands a bunch of evil stuff to happen before He returns.   Matthew 24 [ 7 ] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [ 8 ] All these are the beginning of sorrows. [ 9 ] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. [ 10 ] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. [ 11 ] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [ 12 ] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [ 13 ] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  Revelation [20] He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Jesus commanded all the evil in the Matthew verses, they SHALL happen.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus.           ...

Matt 8-9 matches Rev 6

Here is a small part of the matchup of 8-9 to chapter 6. Also, there are lots of things that make sense in the matchup, and lots of things aren't clear at this time. For instance, why are the first two teachings in this text bracketed by departure verses? Matthew 8:18-23 KJVS - 18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side. 19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. 23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. Revelation 6:9-17 KJVS - 9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word o...

matching pairs near the start and then near the end

There are matching texts that match each other in Matthew and Revelation, but the theme repeats. This occurs twice, near the start and again near the end. This makes four matches. Matthew 2: pair of religious types Revelation 2: synagogue of Satan  --- Matthew 3: pair of religious types Revelation 3: synagogue of Satan  --- Matthew 20: two sons Revelation 19: fellowservant --- Matthew 21: two sons Revelation 22: fellowservant

Matt.11 [ 1 ] And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.   Rev.8 [ 1 ] And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.   Matthew Mat 11:1 - And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities. 11:1  Καὶ ἐγένετο ὅτε ἐτέλεσεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς διατάσσων τοῖς δώδεκα μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ μετέβη ἐκεῖθεν τοῦ διδάσκειν καὶ κηρύσσειν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτῶν The table below displays the KJV text. life is hard, then your children die

Matthew 2[ 16 ] Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. [ 17 ] Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, [ 18 ] In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.  Revelation 2[ 23 ] And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Why doesn't everyone know?

Why isn't it commonly known that Matthew and Revelation match up? If the first chapters had clear similarities it would have been noticed long ago. Revelation is written such that the subject transitions were a logical outline to add the chapter numbers. In Matthew the subject transitions were less clear, and so the chapter numbering doesn't follow the Revelation chapters cleanly.  Matthew chapter 1 could have stopped at verse 17, this would have been more logical and the chapters would match clearly for the first three chapers.

don't get kicked on your left be-hind

Matthew 25[33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Revelation 22[20] He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

other possible matchups

It may be that Mark and Luke also match up with Revelation, but probably not John. Why not the book of John? Why would three gospel books match, and leave out one book?

a tale of two sons

Matthew 20 [20] Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. [21] And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. [22] But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. [23] And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.  Revelation 19[10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is th...

belly ll

Matthew 12  [40] For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  Revelation 10 [ 9 ] And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. [ 10 ] And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. [ 11 ] And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.   Jonah was to deliver the word of God to Nineveh. Jonah was God's word in person or delivered verbally. Jonah was swallowed by a great fish, ending up in the fishes belly. In this way God's word was in the belly. John is instructed to eat the little book. The little book had God's word and God's word ends...
